Our Story

Approximately 30 years ago, we settled on the land at the small countryside cottage and raised our 3 children.  Over the years, we've tended chickens, sheep, horses, kept a garden and have fed our family from our own farm raised meat and eggs.  We have been blessed with some wonderful experiences and when looking back we realize that it has been about the simple, honest and wholesome things.

It has been about those special moments that we remember of like walking barefoot in the garden and smelling the approaching harvest.  Sitting on the porch and noticing the fragrant summer breeze of the nearby meadow.  The times walking in the wood just after a rain and picking up the woodland's pungent notes, or when stepping out to do chores and experiencing the crisp, piney winter air as it first hits your face, or when just sitting at the kitchen table when Grandma's opening the oven of fresh baked pies.

Throughout the years we've learned the importance of working hard and balancing it with necessary rest. We've learned the importance of family and spending time with loved ones and close friends.

We've learned the importance of passing along traditions and holding on to old ways and values, which still have meaningful significance to our lives today and future generations to come.  We've also learned how important it is to not take for granted kindness and to always pass on this simple, honest and wholesome gesture in business and friendship.  But most importantly, we've learned to trust in God and His love for us. We seem happier and more content with these values and want to share that with you here, at the Hollow.
